Food Depot has the best selection of frozen vegetables at great prices. I eat a lot of vegetables and I buy frozen when fresh vegetables get scarce and pricey during off season.
Stopped here for the first time last night. Most likely won't come back. First there was an employee just riding around in the parking lot on one of the motorized carts. When we asked him if he was racing he told us he was bored. We proceeded inside and grabbed a few items. Looked around as we have never been in Food Depot. Then went to check out. The only thing the cashier said to us was what we owed. Didn't get a hello, thank you or goodbye. Atleast the receipt says Thanks! The employees were too busy having a conversation that I guess we interupted.
Was hoping prices on par with Walmart. Pricing was higher on most things and selection was lacking in the produce department. No individual Roma tomatoes; one brand of lettuces to choose from and most looked browned in the bags already.
Store was clean and staff friendly, but sometimes price and selection make the difference. Honestly would recommend Kroger for a normal supermarket vs Food Depot
They have plenty of riding carts for handicap patrons. The store is easy to navigate. I don't like the %10 upcharge at the register and then sales tax. The parking lot is fairly well kept.
Some good deals found, this store charges you their cost plus 10 percent
